Join us as we gather together for the 23rd annual Catholic Jewish Hanukkah luncheon.
Members of the San Antonio area Roman Catholic and Jewish communities will participate in an interfaith Hanukkah celebration as we enjoy lunch, light the hanukkiah, and hear from this year's speaker. Salmon will be served. Kosher or vegetarian meals available upon request with registration.
Speaker: Reverend William J. Meyer, S.M., D.MinFather Bill professed his first vows as a Marianist in 1967 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1979. He holds a doctorate in ministry with a specialty in clinical pastoral counseling and spiritual direction from Andover Newton Theological School and Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Boston, MA. He has taught as a member of the adjunct faculty on the graduate level at Boston College, Weston Jesuit School of Theology, St. Mary’s University, and Chaminade University of Honolulu. He was a member of the faculty of Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio where he was also director of the international Ministry to Ministers Sabbatical Program for eight years. He served as the Provincial Assistant for Religious Life of the Marianist Province of the United States for eight years. Father Bill has been a spiritual director for more than 40 years. He is currently serving as the Rector of St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
